PRE-PUPPY CONSULTATION

 

The pre-puppy consultation is generally conducted within the client’s home.  Many people buy a puppy based on ascetics regardless of whether the breed is compatible with their lifestyle or the environment they reside in.

It’s important when selecting a puppy to understand that all breeds have different breed traits and temperaments. These breed traits can indicate the dogs likely behaviour in any given situation this is known as a dogs predisposed behaviour. Predisposed breed behaviours and the link between the puppy’s environments are also discussed along with the family structure to help select possible breeds.

 

A detailed look at what to expect from your puppy is discussed covering many topics such as toilet training, house layout, location of crates and the importance of having rules and ensuring that all family members are consistent with the puppy in not only the rules but the techniques and commands. The law and the responsibility of owning a dog in today’s society are covered too
