Rob Jessup is a qualified dog trainer and behaviour practitioner having successfully completed the accredited courses at the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training (CIDBT), he is also a member of the Guild of Dog Trainers.
Rob formed Take the Lead Dog Training, on the Suffolk and Norfolk borders which offers training in different environments. The Club offers obedience training in either group or individual sessions, to all levels of ability from puppy to advanced training. Rob is particularly skilled at understanding and empathising with his clients in order to work together to achieve results.
He prides himself in making training both fun and motivating for the dog and owner, but he is also passionate about human to canine communication advising clients how to clearly communicate with their dogs. He endeavours to help people understand dog psychology to ensure they have a more balanced dog resulting in clients having a more fulfilled relationship and genuine bond with their dogs.
Rob regularly has referrals from vets for dogs with behavioural problems and offers behavioural consultations advising clients on how to resolve their dog’s unwanted behaviours. Rob undertakes onsite training in relevant locations with clients and their dogs to address specific behaviour issues.
He is constantly reviewing and testing new training ideas and methods in order to achieve the best results for each individual dog and handler. He continues to study and attend relevant courses to ensure that his knowledge and training methods are the most effective.
Rob owns four dogs, an English springer spaniel, Welsh springer spaniel and a rescued Rottweiler and a border collie.
